Fernando A. M. Herbella, MD is an Affiliate Professor at the Department of Surgery, Escola Paulista de Medicina – Federal University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, where he obtained his MD, residency in General Surgery and Gastrointestinal Surgery, MSc and PhD. He completed fellowships in gastrointestinal surgery at the University of California San Francisco and at the University of Rochester. His main focus is on the physiology and surgery of the foregut.
